Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of cipheraft.com ("cipheraft", "we", "us"), a hand-provisioned portfolio hosting service. By accessing or using cipheraft, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Accounts & eligibility
cipheraft is invite-only. Every tenant is reviewed and approved by us personally before a subdomain is provisioned. You are responsible for the credentials we send you — keep them safe and do not share access with third parties without our consent.
You must be at least 16 years old to use cipheraft, and you may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use cipheraft to host or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, deceptive, or that contains malware. We may suspend or terminate any tenant at our discretion for violations of these Terms, with or without prior notice. The most common reasons for suspension are spam, plagiarised content, and abuse of our shared mail infrastructure.
- No mass mailing, scraping, or unsolicited outreach via our SMTP relays.
- No CSAM, hate speech, doxxing, or threats of violence — zero-tolerance, immediate termination.
- No re-selling cipheraft as a portfolio platform under your own brand.
3. The Portfolio plan (free)
The portfolio features (sections, custom domain, contact form, theme, SMTP) are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce reasonable usage limits — for example, on attachment sizes or contact-form throughput — to keep the platform stable for everyone. Such limits will be announced in advance.
4. The Blog add-on (paid)
The Blog module is the only paid feature. It is billed manually at the rate published on the pricing page, in USD, on a monthly cycle. There is no automatic card-on-file renewal: if a monthly invoice is not paid within 14 days of issue, the blog is paused and posts return a friendly placeholder until payment resumes. The rest of your portfolio is unaffected.
5. Custom domains
You may attach a custom domain to your tenant by adding the TXT verification record we provide and pointing the DNS at cipheraft's edge. We do not own or sell domains; you continue to manage your registrar. We may temporarily disable a custom domain if it is being used to impersonate cipheraft or another tenant.
6. Content ownership
You retain all rights to the content you upload — text, images, blog posts, attachments. By uploading it, you grant cipheraft a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, and display that content for the sole purpose of operating the service. We never use your content to train models or share it with third parties.
7. Data export & portability
Your data is yours. You can export the full content of your tenant — personal info, experience, education, skills, blog posts, contacts — at any time from the admin panel as a JSON archive. If you ask us to delete your tenant we will do so within 30 days of the request.
8. Suspension & termination
We may suspend a tenant for unpaid invoices (blog only), violations of these Terms, or because we are required to do so by law. Suspended tenants display a placeholder page until reactivation. We never permanently delete a tenant without explicit written confirmation from the owner.
9. Service availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee a specific SLA on the free plan. cipheraft is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim — which, for free-plan tenants, is zero.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email to every active tenant at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of cipheraft after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
